Colin and I have been playing regular games whilst waiting for the Tring Wargames Club to reopen and have been experimenting with converting IHMN companies to Wolsung. Here are some pictures from our latest pitting Colin's newly painted British against my dastardly Ottomans!
The shiny new British.
The dastardly Crescent Moon Ottomans.
The table layout.
The British Walker advances.
Being able to see over the wall, it sprays my Hassassin with gatling gun fire.
Rifle bullets just ping off it's steel plates.
But whilst the British are distracted, they do not see the Ottoman positioning himself on a nearby rooftop.
The Ottoman Bashi drops to the ground under a hail of pistol fire from the British Captain.
But leaps to his feet and rushes the British officer and the two exchange pistol shots over the barrels.
The Ottoman marksman takes careful aim and a bolt of lightening from his arc rifle strikes the British Walker.
The steel contraption grinds to a halt as flames spring from the cabin.
A fun game and a narrow win for the Ottomans!
Looks a cracking game Graham.
ReplyDeleteThanks Will.
DeleteVSF my favourite period of gaming, very nice AAR and good looking forces.
ReplyDeleteUp to what size ‘armies’ does IHMN handle?
Is that a shiny new walker from Ironclad Miniatures (love their figures!)...
🙂
Thank you. Yes, the walker is from Ironclad. Both Wolsung and IHMN seem to be aimed at factions of 6-12 figures, although I have used a zombie horde of over 20 figures without any problems. We found that IHMN seemed to end up in a dice-rolling competition between the heroes, which is why I'm converting factions to Wolsung.
DeleteThanks for the info, considering it I’ll stick with my adapted FUBAR VSF rules.
